Market guide
Measure and commission the network
Test throughput, latency, roaming and failure in the real buildingCommissioning turns a promising box into a known network. Use stable firmware, named node positions and repeatable tests before adding nodes or accepting coverage claims.
01
Baseline
Measure before replacement
Record wired internet, gateway-adjacent Wi-Fi and important-room results on representative clients. Note time, band, test endpoint and active traffic.
- Local
- Use a local wired endpoint when measuring Wi-Fi separately from the ISP.
- Repeat
- Run several tests and preserve variation rather than selecting the fastest result.
02
Roaming
Test movement and stationary choices
Clients decide much of roaming behavior. Walk an important call route, then verify stationary devices remain on a sensible node and band after restarts.
- Inspect
- Record node, band and link where the system exposes them.
- Tune
- Move or remove a node before adding another to solve one weak result.
03
Handoff
Verify updates, recovery and household use
Test a gateway restart, node loss, app login, guest or IoT network and required wired devices. Keep the old system available until the new topology is stable.
- Security
- Apply current firmware, unique credentials and the least remote administration needed; no mesh purchase guarantees cybersecurity.
- Record
- Save node positions, cabling, settings, serials, subscriptions and support contacts.
