Market guide

Survey the lawn before buying

A practical property audit for zones, slopes, passages, edges, signal and charging

Advertised acreage describes capacity under stated conditions. It does not describe the route between zones, the damp north slope or whether the mower can distinguish lawn from an unprotected drop.

01

Measure

Separate area from route difficulty

Measure mowable area, then record the route into each zone, the narrowest point and the surface under the mower. A small lawn can be a difficult robot property.

Zones
Note gates, driveways and carrying requirements.
Passages
Include turning room and objects at wheel height.
02

Stress test

Use the worst slope and weakest edge

Test the steepest transition when it is damp. Walk every curb, wall, mulch border, water edge and drop-off that could trap or damage the mower.

Slope
Measure the transition, not only the open grade.
Edge
Decide where a physical barrier is still necessary.
03

Infrastructure

Place charging and positioning deliberately

The dock needs power, drainage and a clear approach. RTK systems may also need an antenna or network correction path with a stable view.

Dock
Plan power, weather, theft and winter storage.
Signal
Check the actual property rather than a neighborhood-level coverage claim.
