Market guide

Choose the process, tools and consumables

Start from joints, packages and throughput

General soldering, micro work, tweezer removal, vacuum desoldering and hot air need different handpieces, energy delivery and consumables. Name the work before buying a controller.

01

Work

Build the joint and package map

List pad size, copper mass, lead-free or other alloy, component sensitivity, access, board value and expected throughput.

Mass
Large connectors and ground planes need energy delivery, not simply a higher setpoint.
Scale
Dense micro work needs tip geometry, visibility and low-force handling.
02

Method

Choose the removal path

Use tweezers for suitable two-sided parts, vacuum for through-hole joints and controlled hot air for supported packages and shields.

Preheat
Large multilayer boards may need controlled preheat outside the station package.
Profile
A stored profile still requires board-specific validation and thermocouple evidence.
03

Ecosystem

Price cartridges and nozzles

Record the exact handpiece, stand, tip, cartridge, nozzle, filter, tube and maintenance-part family.

Availability
Consumable breadth and local stock can matter more than controller purchase price.
Boundary
No station or profile guarantees workmanship, component survival or a safe joint.
