Current market guide

Professional power-quality analyzers

Current portable professional power-quality analyzers and loggers, with exact standards class, topology, inputs, events, transients, harmonics, aggregation, time synchronization, sensors, leads, software, storage, calibration, service and qualified electrical-work boundaries

Your place in the market

Start with the questions that remove bad fits

Start with the electrical question, standards class, topology, event window and reporting obligation

Know the basicsTest the shortlist against the complete ownership choice

Compare inputs, sensors, event capture, timing, storage, reporting and calibration as one system

01

Before the shortlist

The first four answers do most of the work

A useful ranking starts only after the constraints specific to this market are clear.

  1. 01

Is the job compliance reporting, transient investigation, event capture, harmonic study or long-duration energy logging?

  2. 02

Which line topology, voltage, current, frequency, category and sensor ranges must be connected at once?

  3. 03

Which standards class, aggregation, clock accuracy and synchronization method must the record satisfy?

  4. 04

Who is qualified to install and remove the instrument, and which electrical-safety program governs the work?

Market language

The terms a useful comparison should define

Class A
A standards-defined measurement-method class for named power-quality parameters, not a guarantee of diagnosis, code compliance or safe work
Event
A threshold-qualified voltage or current condition whose capture depends on configured limits, duration, channels, sample behavior and clock state
Transient
A short-duration disturbance that requires adequate input bandwidth, sample rate, trigger behavior and probe bandwidth to retain useful detail
Aggregation
The prescribed grouping of measured values over time intervals, which affects comparability, reporting and event interpretation
