Market guide
Plan insertion, retrieval and qualified inspection
Control the asset, probe and evidence fileBefore insertion, control energy, temperature, access, cleanliness and foreign objects. After inspection, retrieve, account for and inspect the complete probe before returning the asset to service.
01
Control
Make the asset safe for access
De-energize and lock out moving equipment where required, cool hot components and follow confined-space and hazardous-location procedures.
- Boundary
- The camera does not classify an atmosphere, create a permit or authorize entry.
- OEM
- Use only approved access ports, guides, cleanliness and rotation procedures.
02
Inspect
Use a repeatable search pattern
Set orientation, lighting, distance, sweep, annotation and image naming before consequential work.
- Reference
- Include scale or approved measurement tools when size matters.
- Coverage
- Record inaccessible areas and image limitations rather than calling them inspected.
03
Retrieve
Account for the complete system
Return articulation to the specified position, withdraw without forcing, verify accessories and inspect the sheath and head.
- Files
- Preserve original files, time, asset identity, location, operator and inspection criteria.
- Signoff
- Qualified inspection, NDT, repair and return-to-service authority remain separate decisions.
