Commission a professional color-management display
Verify package, signal, room light, calibration, profiles, pixels, firmware and serviceCommissioning should establish a known room, signal, firmware, mode, instrument and validation state while return and pixel-policy remedies remain available. Save the reports and exact settings so future drift can be separated from a changed workflow.

Inspect
Verify the physical package
Confirm exact model, panel, stand, hood, meter, cables, VESA hardware and regional warranty, then inspect pixels and uniformity.
- Warm up under normal conditions
- Use the documented warm-up, ventilation and room-light state before judging uniformity or running calibration.
- Test every required input
- Verify USB-C or Thunderbolt power, DisplayPort or HDMI formats, SDI if present, hubs, sleep and wake with the real source.

Calibrate
Create and validate the reference state
Set target, instrument, measurement mode, LUT path and ambient conditions, then retain the report and profile location.
- Name profiles clearly
- Include display, target, date and instrument so applications and future operators can identify the active state.
- Check outside the calibration app
- Verify the operating system, creative application, browser and video-output path do not double-apply or bypass color management.

Retain
Build the operating record
Record firmware, hours, mode, brightness, room light, signal, profiles, pixel findings and support case details.
- Schedule verification by drift
- Use measured change and workflow criticality to set intervals rather than assuming a calendar guarantees accuracy.
- Keep outcome limits visible
- Passing calibration does not guarantee print match, HDR approval, creative quality, comfort, panel life or uptime. It establishes a dated, testable state.
