Identify the complete vehicle set
Record year, make, model, engine, market and any known network or secure-gateway variation. A family-level coverage claim is too broad for a purchase decision.
- VIN
- Use the VIN or exact configuration when the maker's coverage tool accepts it.
- Return window
- Test representative old, new, domestic, Asian and European vehicles before the return period ends.

Functions
Name the command, not the marketing tier
Code access, live data, graphing, service resets, relearns, active tests, coding, programming and calibration are separate capabilities.
- Module
- Tie each function to the exact engine, transmission, ABS, SRS, body, steering, gateway or other module.
- Limits
- Retain exceptions, prerequisites and software-version conditions with the coverage result.

Run a safe acceptance test
Confirm identification, full scan, reports, data PIDs and non-hazardous required functions with the correct procedure and stable power.
- Diagnosis
- A code, test result or data stream is evidence for diagnosis, not a repair conclusion or roadworthiness certificate.
- Privacy
- Remove customer names, VINs, plates and cloud-history details before sharing tool screenshots or reports.
