Market guide
Install and commission a residential dishwasher
Verify the suffix, opening, utilities, leak checks, loading baseline and service pathCommissioning should prove fit, drainage, leak control, rack movement and a repeatable baseline while the installer and return window are still available. Keep the model and serial, installation photos and first-cycle observations together.
01
Before
Verify the exact appliance and site
Match suffix, finish, handle, power method, hose and drain package to the invoice and installation guide.
- Protect the water path
- Locate and test the shutoff, inspect the supply and drain, preserve the high loop or air gap requirement and photograph connections.
- Level and secure the cabinet
- Confirm floor support, side or top fastening, door balance, rack travel and toe-kick clearance before trim closes access.
02
Test
Run an observed commissioning cycle
Use a representative load and approved detergent, then observe fill, spray, drain, heat, dry and end behavior.
- Inspect more than the floor
- Check supply, valve, sump, drain, disposal connection, cabinet sides and adjacent base for moisture during and after the cycle.
- Build a loading baseline
- Record rack positions, blocked spray risks, detergent setting and which plastics or concave items retain water.
03
Retain
Leave a serviceable installation
Keep the manual, model and serial, installer details, shutoff location, filter routine and warranty terms accessible.
- Teach local fallback
- Show every user how to cancel and drain, stop water, clean the filter and run core cycles without an app.
- Do not certify an outcome
- A successful first cycle does not guarantee future cleaning, drying, leak prevention, accessibility or reliability. It establishes a traceable starting state.
