Compare usable space, microwave and convection systems, combination programs, controls, cleaning, parts and local repairCompare the complete installed cooking system. Normalize cavity and door geometry, microwave output, convection and broil hardware, permitted combination modes, included accessories, local controls, account requirements, cleaning access, parts and service before valuing a preset count.
Cooking
Separate microwave-only and speed-oven branches
Thermador MBCS and MB30WS are defended microwave-only choices, while MC30WP and Miele H 7770 BM add conventional heat and combination programs. Extra hardware adds cooking range, heat, accessories, cleaning and repair surfaces.
- Shared energy matters
- A speed program coordinates microwave, convection or broil under its own limits; it does not deliver every element's maximum at once. Compare actual recurring foods, quantities, preheat and permitted trays.
- Sensors do not inspect the center
- Humidity sensing, presets and one probe location remain decision aids. They cannot observe every cold spot or correct wrong portion, starting state, cookware or rack placement.
Interface
Compare reach and local operation
Test text size, control response, door effort, rack access, lighting, timer behavior, lock and stop sequence at the planned installation height. A premium display does not correct an inaccessible door or hot-dish lift.
- Record the offline boundary
- Miele and other connected branches can add account, network, notifications and updates. Prove essential local cooking, timer, settings and reset behavior without the cloud before assigning value to remote features.
- Treat locks as controls, not childproofing
- A control lock does not isolate the branch circuit, cool the cavity or replace supervision. Document who can change app permissions, household roles and firmware settings.
Ownership
Price cleaning, accessories and service
Retain the exact glass or metal tray, rack, pan, turntable and cleaners. Confirm door, latch, seal, magnetron, elements, fans, display and control-board service in the buyer's region.
- Stop after door damage
- FDA guidance says not to operate a microwave whose door does not close firmly or is bent, warped or damaged. Do not defeat interlocks or attempt leakage work without qualified equipment and service.
- Warranty is a remedy, not an outcome
- A premium warranty or service network cannot guarantee speed, doneness, leakage condition, uptime, parts stock, repair time or reliability. Keep a temporary cooking plan for an installed appliance awaiting service.
