Market guide
Choose an outdoor pizza oven by fuel and space
Match fuel, utilities, usable deck and outdoor clearance to the cooking planStart with the outdoor site and fuel path. Propane offers direct control, wood and charcoal add fire management and ash, while an electric oven needs a dry, correctly rated outdoor circuit. None of those choices overrides the manual's clearance, weather or food-safety requirements.
Fuel
Choose the operating routine as well as the flavor
The Ooni Koda 2 is a propane oven with its specified hose and regulator. The Karu 2 uses wood and charcoal with an optional exact gas burner. The Ninja Artisan MO201 uses 120-volt electricity and should not be treated as a combustion oven.
- Conversion must be documented
- A different hose, orifice or fuel label does not make an oven convertible. Use only the exact manufacturer burner, pressure, regulator and procedure.
- Utilities shape placement
- Plan cylinder position and hose clearance, spark and ash control, or a dry GFCI-protected electrical route without hot-surface contact or trip exposure.
Space
Measure the support, opening and working zone
Usable capacity depends on deck dimensions, mouth height, turning room, peel width and safe hand clearance. A fourteen-inch cooking area or sixteen-inch pizza claim does not mean the largest pizza will be easy to launch and turn.
- Cold portability is conditional
- Portable means the cooled, disconnected oven can be moved with a suitable grip or team. It does not permit a hot move or an unstable temporary support.
- Outdoor still has clearances
- Confirm overhead and side clearance, noncombustible support, open-air ventilation and dry storage from the exact North American manual.
Cooking
Define the real batch rather than a headline bake
Record dough size, toppings, number of consecutive pizzas and other cookware. A maker's maximum temperature or one-minute pizza claim does not include every preheat, launch, turn, deck-recovery and reload condition.
- Use separate temperature checks
- An infrared reading can help with the deck. A suitable food thermometer checks food-specific internal temperature. Neither reading substitutes for the other.
- No oven guarantees the meal
- Fuel, deck and heat specifications cannot guarantee crust, launch success, recovery, pizzas per hour, food safety, fuel cost or another cooking outcome.
