The WS90 array measures ultrasonic wind, piezoelectric rainfall, temperature, humidity, UV and solar light; the TFT console and indoor sensor provide pressure and indoor conditions. Its haptic rain and ultrasonic wind are distinct from Ecowitt's cup-and-tipping-bucket arrays. The U.S. system uses 915 MHz and the WS90 reports about every 8.8 seconds under documented conditions, with up to roughly 500 feet open-field range. Console display, WLAN and internet uploads can use different one-to-five-minute intervals. Retain the HP2564 and WS90 manual tables for temperature, humidity, wind, piezo rain, pressure, UV and solar ranges, resolution and nominal error. Ecowitt's stated intervals and open-field range do not guarantee radio reach or exposure-inclusive accuracy.
Use console calibration only after a representative comparison. Keep the array level and rigid, clean the acoustic, rain and optical surfaces, manage heater and batteries and record firmware, offsets and which sensor ID supplies each displayed value. The optional heater creates an outdoor low-voltage wiring path and the high wind site creates mast, ladder and lightning exposure. The seven-inch TFT is a local display and WLAN gateway. Ecowitt Weather, Weather Underground, Weathercloud, WOW and documented custom uploads such as Home Assistant are supported, but local history, memory-card behavior and cloud retention depend on exact console settings.
