Resolve geometry and load basis
Record column count, leg layout, crossbar, foot depth, top dimensions and whether the published load is dynamic, static, centered or frame-only.
- Weight
- Count the worktop and every mounted or stored item where the instructions require it.
- Leverage
- Monitor arms and edge loads can affect motion differently from the same mass centered on the top.

Motion
Test drive and stability
Raise and lower the fully loaded desk through its useful range and test normal typing, leaning and monitor movement on the actual floor.

- Record speed, noise, duty limits, reset procedure, synchronization and behavior after power loss.
- Stability
- A high load rating, four legs or heavy top does not guarantee low movement at every height.
