Put every display, sensor, module, cable and installation task on one diagramBrand ecosystems simplify some integrations and constrain others. The final design must name every Ethernet, NMEA 2000, sonar, power and video connection and preserve service access.

Network
Draw ports, switches and terminators
A feature may need a free Ethernet port, network switch, sonar module or NMEA backbone power that the display price does not include.

Integration
Freeze the boat-control ecosystem
Trolling motors, autopilots, radar, anchors and engine gateways provide deeper control within some brand families.

- List the functions that work across brands and those that do not.

- Keep critical controls usable if one display fails.

Commission
Test every view and control on the water
Software, calibration, heading, depth offset, transducer setup, network naming and alarms need a documented acceptance run.

- Save settings, serials, licenses and wiring diagrams.
- Service
- Leave modules and connectors reachable without dismantling the helm.
