Market guide
Build, test and protect the kit
Rehearse the exact package from power-on through verified backupA full preparation day catches conflicts that a body specification cannot. Rig every accessory, record the chosen formats, monitor sound and picture, run on battery, transfer the files and finish a representative clip.
01
Build
Assemble the operated configuration
Check lens clearance, mount support, balance, ventilation, cables, connector strain, monitor visibility, audio routing and access to media and controls.
- Thermal
- Run the longest expected take in the warmest credible environment without blocking airflow.
- Power
- Measure runtime with every powered accessory and define safe battery-change behavior.
02
Record
Test every required combination
Record frame rates, sensor modes, codecs, timecode, audio, monitoring LUTs, anamorphic display and outputs used by the production. Confirm firmware and license state.
- Media
- Fill and cycle representative media while watching dropped-frame and temperature behavior.
- Sync
- Verify camera, recorder and slate timing across power cycles.
03
Protect
Prove the handoff and fallback
Offload with verification, open files in post, create a backup and finish a short sequence. Document a body, media, power and cable failure plan.
- Rules
- Confirm permits, location releases, privacy, radio and drone requirements with the responsible local authority.
- Insurance
- Insure the operated package and retain serial, firmware and service records.
