Choose a smart bike, frame or trainer
Resolve the person, bicycle and room before comparing resistance numbersThe useful branch follows from who rides, which bicycle stays available outdoors, how often the setup changes and whether the room can keep a complete frame in place.

Format
Choose the ownership format
A complete smart bike simplifies bicycle mounting and can support several saved fits. A trainer preserves the rider's outdoor position but adds axle and drivetrain work.
- Sharing
- Record each rider's saddle, bar, crank and pedal coordinates and the time needed to change them safely.
- Outdoor bike
- Decide whether drivetrain wear, sweat, repeated mounting and indoor availability are acceptable for the actual bicycle.

Compatibility
Resolve every mechanical interface
For a trainer, identify frame clearance, quick release or thru axle, end caps, freehub, cassette or Cog, speeds, spacers, chain, derailleur and disc spacer.
- Frame
- A listed axle size does not prove that every dropout, derailleur, brake or frame shape clears the trainer.
- Drive
- Virtual shifting can reduce cassette matching only in supported apps and controller combinations.

Room
Map the operating space
Measure the unfolded system, rider motion, entry and emergency dismount, fan, display, power cable, sweat protection and storage route.
- Floor
- Level and protect the floor without making the trainer unstable or blocking ventilation.
- Boundary
- A broad rider range, high power number or stable frame does not guarantee fit, comfort, training results or safe use.
